Australian cruise gratuities

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I recently booked a South Pacific cruise on the voyager of the seas in 2020 sailing from Sydney. Its been quite some time since I have sailed Royal and first time from Australia. I have seen in a few places that for Australian cruises gratuity is built into the cruise fare. Can anyone confirm? We always tip extra but knowing the standard per person gratuity has already been paid for would be a savings on the back end.

Thanks

The gratuities are still added to the price of the cruise in AU.  That being said, if you spend time in Sydney before and after the cruise, you’ll find there’s no need to tip anywhere; taxis, restaurants, hotels, etc.
