PREMIER CRUISE QUESTION

Hello,

We will be on the Breeze in two weeks on a Premier cruise which we will be given drinks on us cards...I realize drinks can only be given to us. while playing in the casino, but two questions:

1-  What happens when the casino is closed while in ports, are we allowed to get a drink at the casino bar?

2-  Do the drinks have to be served by us by servers in the casino or can we actually go up to a bar and get our drink?

3-  Do you find when asking for a drink with the drinks on us card, they take their time?

Trying to decide whether it pays for us to get the Cheers program, we do have four days in ports.

Any server in the casino, but you cannot go to the bar and get your own. the servers in the casino are hit or miss as to how often you see one and how long it takes to get served. it has nothing to do with the drinks on us though, service is the same for everyone.

Actually on a Premier Casino cruise many times the casino management will pony up the extra port fee for the temporary license to have the casino open when docked (in ports that allow gambling). Unfortunately this is not something you will know until you attend the Premier cocktail party on embarkation day and get the player's schedule of events.

Additionally on sea days or when docking in the afternoon,  mornings the casino tends to set up a small continental breakfast, this will be available to all passengers. The casino with the nicer management teams will also get their premier guests non-alcoholic speciality coffee or teas those mornings.

With the increase of serious gamblers on these trips usually the food and beverage managements will assign more wandering servers to the casino. On most cruises there is no drink servers in the casino until about noon if it is open during the day, on a premier cruise they tend to come on earlier. Also it not unheard of for the casino to have the slots open overnight, though most drink server's shifts will be done by 3am..

Thank you for that info Maryred!  We generally go to bed around 2am.  I am leaning on getting the Cheers package, surely I won't be able to get certain brand liquor as it won't be included but considering the fact if we get the Cheers the liquor bill (also which we have coffee's and water) will cost us less plus the fact, we don't have to look at our bill/receipts as we have found in the past for mistakes on our bar bills.  I really think the casino should consider giving these cruisers discounts for the cheers package, that sure would make sense.  (I think).
