Sheila127 Posted June 3, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 3, 2019 Hi, towards the stern, on the deck plan, there is a large white area. Can anyone tell me what is in this space? Thank you.
davecttr Posted June 3, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2019 This is engineering space and the engine room. The source of noise and vibration. IMO avoid cabins nearby ( I have experienced several)
Sheila127 Posted June 3, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted June 3, 2019 Unfortunately as I am travelling solo and am in an inside single cabin I don't have much choice. I have reserved cabin 0722 trying to avoid the very back of the ship but now wondering whether this is a wise choice.
Broughton Posted June 4, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 4, 2019 We have been in both 704 and 707 and there is definitely quite a lot of vibration in them.
Sheila127 Posted June 4, 2019 Author #5 Share Posted June 4, 2019 Hi Broughton, did this effect your enjoyment of the cruise? Or your comfort in the cabin?
Broughton Posted June 4, 2019 #6 Share Posted June 4, 2019 Hi Sheila, It didn't really affect me too much as I am quite a heavy sleeper and the vibration is most noticeable in the cabins when the ship is moving and things start rattling. In port there is no real issue. My wife is a lighter sleeper and it woke her up more. That said it did not affect our enjoyment of the cruise as we really like the ship and the atmosphere aboard. We have been on her 4 times. The cabins were spacious and comfortable. They were double cabins though so I can't vouch for the single ones.
