Aft balcony on 9th deck - Noisy?

Knowing what ship might get you different answers.

We had an aft-extended balcony on deck 7 of the Magic, a Dream class ship.  Loved the space and the view, hated the full sun all day.

Next three cruises (Magic and Breeze) booked deck 9.  The overhang of the Lido deck gave us partial shade most of the day.

Breeze on the aft balconies is slim to non-existent.  The partial shade made the balconies enjoyable.

If you're on the balcony during really early morning hours, you may hear some scraping noise while the Lido deck is being cleaned.  It never bothered us.

Happy sailing.

Thanks for the reply.  This would be on the Breeze.

We have had 9401-ish range on Dream and Conquest class. (Deck 8 equivalent) It was fairly quiet as far as restaurant noise goes. Could faintly hear the Lido deck parties if we were out on the balcony but otherwise it was fine.

We had an aft balcony deck 9 on Vista, and dark-thirty every morning there was some noise as the crew moved chairs and washed down Lido above us.  We laughed it off, it only lasted a little while.  We knew to expect it.  The advantage of being on 9 (full shade and privacy provided by the overhanging Lido above) much outweighed noise factor.
