lanarules94 Posted January 27, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 27, 2006 It's my Dad's 50th birthday in early September, so we want to go on a European cruise in August. We have no idea which one to go on Any Ideas;)
tinsel57 Posted January 27, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 27, 2006 SURE! No shortage of cruises in August. Look at the RCCL Jewel of the Sea. Lovely ship and good overall middle of the road pricing. Aug 6 and 18th she sails Harwich, England; Oslo, Norway; Copenhagen, Denmark; Stockholm, Sweden; Helsinki, Finland; St. Petersburg, Russia; Tallinn, Estonia; and back to England. She's a beautiful ship!

tinsel57 Posted January 27, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 27, 2006 True, but it's also hurricane season, technically june 1- nov 30th, covers the time of year when the majority of the population takes it's vacation. Plus with the late tropical storms this past year, the storms didn't end until some time in Dec. That basically leave a 5 months at the beginning each year for Non-hurricane weather! And cruising is still at it's peak over the summer.
kitty9 Posted January 27, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 27, 2006 Tinsel, it's not hurricane season in the Med, which is where the OP is asking about.
