new years eve aboard

I was wondering what new year's eve is like aboard ship? We are sailing on the Valor 12/26 and was curious as to how it was celebrated aboard? New Year's day is at sea (nice for recovery)

I was on the Legend for NYE in 2002/2003 and they make a big ta-do over it.
I was talking to the staff on the ship and they said it is one of the holidays that they can be politically correct to celebrate.

free champagne and not just one glass either it flowed all over the place. of course a hat, lei,noise maker, blow horn your usual party favors.
plus they had a special menu that night for dinner.
