mrogers Posted July 14, 2019 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2019 Has anyone taken the Princess bus shuttle from Anchorage to Whittier (I think it leaves from the convention center) ???? Can you comment if this worked well, when you arrived at the port and what time you were allowed to board the Royal Princess? many many many thanks,
janina Posted July 14, 2019 #2 Share Posted July 14, 2019 Yes you need to take it . We got right on. You can drop your luggage off at the convention center and walk around town till it is your time for the bus. You will be given a time. Very easy. bemis12 Posted July 14, 2019 #3 Share Posted July 14, 2019 You might take a look into the Alaska Railroad instead. A beautiful and relaxing trip that will drop you off right at the ship shortly after noon. Well worth the small increase in price, IMHO.
Rare Jeter02 Posted July 14, 2019 #4 Share Posted July 14, 2019 you can either do the railroad or the bus transfer. I did the bus transfer as it's the most inexpensive way to get to Whittier. When I went I stayed the night prior at a hotel and then my concierge had a free shuttle service and they knew exactly where to drop me off because apparently that week it was not the convention center where princess was doing it it was the Marriott so usually if you're at a hotel they know exactly where to drop you off. As long as you tell him you're heading on a Princess Cruise. When I did it at the Marriott it was super well-organized.
