cal680 Posted January 28, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2006 I am a member of the Skippers Club, but I have also completed my online check-in (fun pass). If I have already completed the fun pass what does the Skippers Club exactly do for me? Is there a difference? Thanks for you input.
serene56 Posted January 28, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 28, 2006 IF your port has a skippers club-- you wont have to wait in line to check in. The fun pass is to allow your information to be keyed in by you--instead of at the checkin.. it saves a few minutes that you dont have to wait while the agent types in that information

So if I understand you correctly even though you complete the "Fun Pass", there is still some waiting time involved, correct? Thanks!
jakieemma Posted January 28, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 28, 2006 There should be no waiting in Miami. I have used Skippers in Miami several times and have always been checked in and escorted past any lines. They tried to have me wait in the boarding area after check in once. I walked up to a rep in a red blazer and asked if I had to wait. He said "no, follow me". He escorted us right to the gangway to board. It is a nice perk. Jasonsterling Posted January 28, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 28, 2006 I've done both a honestly on this last cruise it would have been quicker to do the normal check-in line as I guess every suite passenger arrived at the same time and the Skipper's Club was swamped. Of course there were nice sofa to wait on as opposed to standing up but there was basically no waiting at the regular counter. On the Destiny as well there was absolutely no line at checkin so I skipped the Skipper's Club there- why bother when you can just walk right up to a window. b8tzm Posted January 28, 2006 #6 Share Posted January 28, 2006 We had Skippers Club and you wait in line with others until you pass thru security then you tell them you have Skippers Club and you have priority boarding (lineless) from then on. If the ship isn't ready you wait with others in Skippers Area & then get on ahead of lines that have formed SKIPPERS CLUB (SM) The Skippers Club program is an exclusive service designed to afford guests in deluxe suite accommodations with special registration and boarding privileges. This service is now available in: Miami Port Canaveral New Orleans Galveston Tampa Long Beach Fort Lauderdale San Juan New York If you are entitled to Skippers Club services, please inquire at embarkation.
