Help Please-Cost of taxi to Playa Porto Mari Beach???

Hi,

What would the cost for two people in US Dollars be to go to Playa Porto Mari Beach and then from the beach back to the cruise ship?

I was in Curacao the week of jan 15th with Rccl. We went to the information desk at the port and were told that it would cost us $40. to $45 U.S. each way for a taxi. Plus entrance fee plus chair rentals. The thing that stopped us from going to Playa Porto Mari was the concern of not being able to get a return taxi. Were told that there are nice beaches closer to the pier. We ended up spending some time shopping then time sunning on the ship. You may be able to find someone to share the cost of the taxi with you. Or check the ships tours, atleast you will be guaranteed a return trip to the ship.

Don't know which ship you are on but HAL's Curacao Beach Express tour takes you there and back for $35/person and includes beach chair rental and snorkel gear. You have about two hours of beach time.

You can always arrange, with the same taxi, your return wherever you go on the island. The bar personnel will also always assist you to call a taxi.

 

The Curaçao Beach Express is not visiting Porto Marie anymore this season, but Blue Bay Beach and Resort.
