Panama Canal -US$ conversion

Visiting El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Columbia.  Some countries don’t accept US$. Are credit cards o.k. or is it necessary to convert dollars?

All those Countries you listed  readily take US $. Just be sure to have singles, five and tens, as they often give change in local money. You should not need to change any money. Be sure to know the exchange rates for each country. 

 

Credit cards or ATM cards are also used in most retail stores and restaurants.
