Dee Dee Dina Posted August 27, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2019 We're going to NZ this fall with Golden Princess. Has anyone taken the Akaroa shore excursion entitled Canterbury High Country by 4WD & Jetboat? If you have can you let me know your thought on it? Thanks! Geoffa30 Posted August 27, 2019 #2 Share Posted August 27, 2019 We have. Did it in March this year during our Majestic Princess cruise. It was fun but an extremely long day. Lots of driving to and from the Jet Boat and 4x4 vehicle. Jet Boat was great fun. Exhilarating . 4x4 was an experience. Very bumpy but saw some gorgeous scenery and thankfully had great weather. Buffet lunch served in between the two with New Zealand lamb which was very tasty. Served with baked potato and salads followed by a brownie and another option. Nice gift shop to buy some souvenirs afterwards. Would recommend the excursion but it is a substantial investment. Will post some pictures when I get home.

Did you see the mountains as close as you did on this excursion?
