Which is better, just for a day of sun sand and surf, including convenience and price?

I'm just back from the 4/12 Miracle sailing. We got a taxi and went to Cable Beach. We enjoyed a few hours sitting on the beach there. There were 4 adults and 2 kids in my group, and it cost us $20 for a ride there and $24 for a ride back to the ship.

The blue lagoon excursion lasts about 5 hours and we decided we wanted a little more freedom and opted for Cable Beach.

Blue lagoon is nice but just another beach and at times can get very crowded. You are hearded in and out with lots of lines although I have also been when it was empty (but there were no ships in that day). At Cable beach you have more room to take a long walk or just spread out. You can jet ski, para-sail, snorkel or just lie around. Plus, if you get real bored, you can always go to the casino.
The Radisson has a great poolside bar that makes great native snadwiches and cold drinks too.
