Family Geezer Posted September 1, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2019 Was wondering what time my family and myself can embark on the Discovery in Palma. We fly from Edinburgh quite early on at around 8.30 am and will (hopefully) be at Palma De Mallorca Port early afternoon. I know the ship doesn't sail until around 10 pm. I've already explored Palma a few times from previous holidays and was hoping get aboard early on to spend the first day just chilling and getting settled in on the ship. Is that feasible or do we all need to wait until a certain time to embark? Thanks as usual! FG
suekay Posted September 1, 2019 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2019 (edited) You will be able to board and start using the facilities as soon as you arrive, but your cabin may not be ready (although it should be by early afternoon)and your bags may not arrive at your cabin for a couple of hours, so pack swimwear, sun lotion etc in your hand luggage Edited September 1, 2019 by suekay
pgilc1 Posted September 1, 2019 #3 Share Posted September 1, 2019 As above, you'll be able to get on board. We did cruise only with Dream in March and arrive around 11:30. No issues getting on. Are you making your own way to the ship or via TUI flight?
Family Geezer Posted September 1, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted September 1, 2019 Thank you folks for your replies and your advice. It's a TUI flight we have as it's a package we are doing pgilc1. Does this make a difference do you think?

Its all very slick end to end.
Rare Jim The Scot Posted September 2, 2019 #6 Share Posted September 2, 2019 We have done two cruises on the Dream this year from Palma from Edinburgh(6-30 am)Once we collected our luggage we made our way to the coaches and having done this numerous times knew where to go to get the coaches.Allocated our coach by rep, waited no longer than 5 mins and we were off.Arrived at port in not much more than 20 mins Straight forward and very slick
