mh53j_fe Posted October 6, 2019 #1 Share Posted October 6, 2019 My wife Kathy and I are on the Viking Grand European tour, Budapest to Amsterdam from May 10 - 24 2020. We are really interested in the optional excursions where you ride a bicycle. I haven't found any reviews for these tours. If you have taken any bicycle tours on this trip, I would love to hear your review. Thank you! philw1776 Posted October 7, 2019 #2 Share Posted October 7, 2019 Same here but with the Belgrade Viking bike tour. Was gonna take the bike tour to Monet's garden last July but early lock closings for Bastile Day meant our ship had to boogey north early to get thru the lock making the ride back to Monet's too long for a bike tour. margu1241 Posted October 13, 2019 #3 Share Posted October 13, 2019 Kinderdjik Bicycle tour was excellent this past June. Not very demanding, mostly flat and beautiful scenery. My only complaint was that I am used to riding a Schwinn cruiser with pedal brakes and contacted Viking ahead of time and they assured me that the bikes would have pedal brakes, which was not the case. I was a little worried when I first saw the bikes, but a few circles through the parking lot and I was fine. It was such a fun way to see the windmills and included a stop and tour of a working windmill.
