Meraviglia New York-worst embarkation ever!!

Our embarkation in Kiel, Germany on Sept. 24 for the TA cruise was also terrible. Embarkation times didn't mean anything. Thousands of passengers were waiting in snaky lines. Thank goodness it was a warm and sunny day. Felt sorry for the elderly.

Eventally, a staff member came out, apologizing and handing out candies (really?).

Prior to arriving in New York on Oct. 7th, we were told that everyone had to pass immigration (had to carry our passports), and then leave the ship in the morning for most of the day, as immigration process could take up to 6 hours. That was fine, as we wanted to spend the day in the city.

On Oct. 8, we had to leave our cabin by 8 AM and wait in the designated area. We had the last disembarkation time, which was 10:30 AM. Process seemed to go more smoothly. Now, getting a taxi on the opposite side of the street was another experience! Wait time was at least 45 minutes.

Disembarkation was a breeze. I couldn’t believe it. We had early time due to having Aurea. It was supposed to be 7:50. We were called about 8:20 and were off the ship, picked up our luggage and through immigration in about 20 minutes. Taxis were indeed a problem. I assumed they would be lined up. They usually clamor to get airport runs. Nope. You have to walk across the street to the taxi stand and wait in line. People everywhere. There were guys there tying to get you to go with them but we had no idea who they were so we passed. Ordered Lyft and we could never find the first guy who was supposedly there. Someone else picked it up and it took him about 10 minutes to get there. Nice guy and got up to the airport quickly but between the fare (high) and tip it would have cost about the same to take the MSC bus with a lot less hassle

Can you please come back with short review about ship itself and shows?
