Keeping track of teenager?

We always made our teenagers check in with us every so often. We would also make a final sweep of the ship before going to bed to see if they were at where they said they were. Never had a problem, but we could always trust our kids too. We used the walk talkies when they were younger and they still thought that was a fun thing to have. As they got a bit older, the walkie talkies just weren't cool.

Walkie talkies work .. but finding an empty channel can be a problem. I find them annoying, myself.

The best bet, like Pam said, is to simply have a periodic checkin. We have our teen boys check in about every 2 hours. They have a general idea about where we will be and we have the same of them. If they cannot find us, we have them go back to their cabin and write a quick note saying something to the effect of "It's 4pm, checking in, going to the arcade and/or to get pizza".

We leave messages for them as well. Honestly, the majority of the time we will find at least one of them in the cabin taking a nap.

Hope this helps.
