Salad Dressings??????

:rolleyes: My DH is very picky!!!! Please, can anyone tell me if the Dawn has Thousand Island salad dressing:confused:. Don't want him to be grumpy for 10 days .

I did see Thousand Island dressing in the Garden Buffet, so I am sure he can ask for it in any restaurants. But their Caesar salad which they serve everywhere is really really good.

In the main dining room I often order a green salad and I like Thousand Island and Ranch. They are both available, as are other dressings but I don't know which. As someone else mentioned, the Caesar salads are very good too.

This is my mainstay for salads. If you like good 1000 dressing you won't find it there. It is not your normal rich good dressing. It rates a 3 on a scale of 1-10.......but they carry it in all rest.:)

I'm so disappointed to hear NCL's Thousand Island dressing has gone downhill. A 3 on a scale of 10? Apparently things have changed since we last sailed NCL (5 years ago, so I suspect a LOT has changed), but I used to rave about their Thousand Island dressing. It was incredibly thick, with better flavor than anything I've found elsewhere. Poop! Oh, well, this should save me about 500 calories a day....

I would give it a much higher rating than 3 out of 10. I too have loved the Thousand Island on NCL ships, and we sailed last in Sept 2005.

The Norwegian Sun had a great Bleu Cheese dressing in 2004, it was loaded with cheese and all lumpy :)

You could always pack a bottle of his favorite dressing and save yourself the stress of being in a cabin with someone who is grumpy for 10 days!!!! LOL ;)

NCL uses Wish Bone brand of salad dressings. The first night I asked if I could get a little more dressing on the salad and the waiter brought over a bottle of Wish Bone.

The only complaint we had about any of the dining room food was the salad dressings. We sailed on the Majesty over Thanksgiving. The dressings were extremely thin and even watery at times. The salads were wonderful though, and we didn't complain.

I believe they do, if not just mix mayo and ketup, that is thousand island dressing!!! or just bring a bottle with you!!!! enjoy
