St Kitts in Feb on NCL Gem

We are in our 50's  and will be in St. Kitts from 11-6 in February.  Any suggestions on the best excursions to do through NCL?

Through NCL - cant help.

 

In general, look up website of thenfordgrey tours.

$45 tour that includes overview of town, brimstone castle, Tonothy hill and some beeach time is reasonablly good.

 

If you have larger group or gather up like minded people from roll call or otherwise, you can do the same tour for about half the cost. (we paid 15 pp for guided tour and paid castle entrance fee ourselves)

The taxi drivers' are regulated.  Walk off the ship.  Find one.  Negotiate a price.  We got a great deal to go to Brimstone Hill $25 pp R/T plus the entrance fee $10 each.  I think the ship wanted $89 pp

Regulated and negotiate kind of seem contradictory

 

Some of the taxi drivers are indeed licensed and many others are irregulars.

Need to stick to licensed and then negotiate.

 

$15 pp in an airconditioned minibus for the town overview, castle, timothy hill and some beach time seem to be standard (although asking price may start at 30-40 pp)

Taxi drivers and fares are regulated. A taxi fare is having the taxi take you from one point to another. example from the pier area to the airport. All licensed taxis have a license plate beginning with a T. A tour given by that same driver & vehicle is not regulated and is negotiable.

 

Here is an idea for anybody doing a tour: take a picture of the driver, the license plate and the vehicle. If the driver is legitimate they should not mind.
