Deer Island (Isla de Venados), Mazatlan

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know how to get to Deer Island without sign up for the tour package? (like how do you get there from the cruise port, and how to get the boat ride to get to the Deer Island?). Any lead, ideas, or information would be appreciated? Thank you so much!

Take a look at the following link to info on how to get to Deer Island.  Basically, you would need to take a taxi or pulmonia from the cruise port (about 20 minutes and under 200 pesos) to the Zona Dorado (Golden Zone—the hotel area) and then take a boat to Deer Island.  Hotel Mazatlan in the Zona Dorado used to have a boat that went to the island, but I don’t know if they still do.
