Spin class equipment

Can anyone that's taken a spin class on a Royal ship lately tell me what kind of pedals the bikes have? We will be on Serenade in March for 11 days, and i'd like to bring my bike shoes if they have the correct pedals for my cleats.

Thats actually very helpful. Looks like they just put pedals with cages and i only need sneakers. One less thing i need to pack! Thanks!

It looks like a SPD pedal (most common). Clip in on one side, can be flipped over for using the cages instead. I will be on AOS in April and plan on bringing my spin shoes.  Fingers crossed!!

I think it really varies by ship. On Freedom last year, you could wear sneakers, as the pedals flipped to accommodate both. On Oasis, you had to have cycling shoes.. And you had to use theirs if not. The bikes only accommodated clips. They actually had a wall of shoes for you to choose from. I'm leaving on Rhapsody today, so I'll get to find out that situation.

They provide shoes with the correct clips for the bikes. You don't need to bring bike shoes.

My last two cruises, they did not provide spin shoes. You used you tennis shoes and cages or brought your own spin shoes. SPD.
