You'll be charged $250 per deposit for 4 deposits, and then your onboard account will be credited $500. Effectively, you're paying $500 for $1000 worth of deposits. As the CruiseNext Specialist on Escape explained to me last week, you can apply one deposit for each NCL sailing of six days or longer in a studio, inside, or oceanview stateroom, or two deposits per six day or longer sailing in a balcony or above. There are some sailings that are currently taking part in the Double Up promotion, which allow you to apply two deposits to a single stateroom of any category on select sailings through the end of March, although she said it was previously extended a few months ago and they hope it will extend again in the future as it has been very successful in her opinion. I wouldn't buy on her opinion, but the prospect of doubling up and using both on a single cruise would be nice if the offer is available the next time I am looking to cruise on NCL.
