Viking Jupiter, South America excursion costs

We are on the Jan 8, 2022 cruise.  We are also wondering if South America will be open to tourists.

Did anyone use a private guide in Santiago we will have 2 days pre-cruise?

 

We hope to use the private guide? Patrick? to see the penguins.

I sure hope South America is ready for visitors in a year and Viking will allow DIY exploring.

 

Unfortunately, I don’t have that information....sorry.  The hotel we stayed at in Santiago set up a private tour of the vineyards on the way to Valparaiso, and did a tour of Valpo when we got there.  At the end of the day, he dropped us, the wine we acquired and our luggage off at the Viking terminal. 
 

This was a goof on my part....I should have gotten a card from him, as he did an excellent job.
