That's bad news for cruisers who enjoy Princess Cays. 🙁 I will be cruising her March 6. I have been to Princess Cays many times so I stay on the ship anyway. A win for me.

This is only my second cruise with princess and the second time we miss Princess Cays.... maybe one day...

We were hoping they would get the generator issue resolved and we would make the call at Princess Cay but if we had to skip a port I guess that is the one we would have picked.  I guess we will have to figure out how we want to enjoy the $75 per person OBC they are graciously offering to compensate.  Maybe splurge a night at the Crown Grill and put the rest toward a call in the casino or towards our Gratuities.

I was hoping the problem would have been sorted out as we are on the 6th March sailing and someone had posted this on another thread just 2 days ago.

 

He’s had around 27 repair persons onboard since the problem started. They have disassembled and now reassembled the generator. He said they were going to start it up and test it on this voyage. So, we are the guinea pigs so to speak.
 

so far, we don’t think it’s being used as the seas have been rocky and stabilizers out for most of the trip so far. There’s a part of the medallion app that tells us our heading and speed too. We haven’t seen it go above 18knotts so far.
