Pacific Princess - Deck 8, Cabin 8005 under gym??

Just wondering if anyone is familiar with the mini-suites near the bow, starboard side on Deck 8? According to the ship layout diagram, cabin 8005 looks like it just misses the beginning of the gym but we aren't sure. On the Royal last year, our friends were located right under the gym even though the diagram indicated that they seemed to miss it--what a nightmare for them it was! Right now we have a balcony on Deck 7 but this cabin has just come up and we can switch if we'd like to!

I don't know about your specific location, but if it is under the gym - do stay away. I have heard the same as you that this is quite possibly the least desirable place for a cabin, especially if you like your sleep and waking to the sound of pounding feet on a treadmill would bother you.

We sailed on Pacific Princess and were in cabin 8008 port side. We were under pool deck and didn't hear deck chairs being moved or any noise at all. Friends were in cabin 8001 starboard side and they didn't hear anything above them either. As these are the mini suites on the ship we were told that the noise insulation would be good and would have to agree that it was.
