i have heard there is something like a park n fly like the airports does anyone know and how much and do they give u a left to port also need a room pre cruise heard about hotels and parking anyone know???

I would get a hotel off the island around League City (exit 15) because it is a lot cheaper than on the island and park at EZcruiseparking. Go to their website and you can get a discount for reserving on line. They are about 2/3 the price of the "official" port parking, but are a lot better.:)

There are several hotels in Galveston that allow you to park your vehicle free after staying a night. Hotel Galvez will take you to pier. City trolley will go from right outside hotel to ship ($1). Downside: costly.

I use Gaido's Seaside Inn. Right on the beach. Parking lot is locked at night. $47/night, but they don't provide transportation (cab is about$7). Plus you get dining certicate at Gaidos, perhaps best seafood restaurant in town. 3370 Seawall, 1-800-525 0064 (ask for cruise special).
