Thank you for the article!

Some people will never learn. I have seen my share of people placing computers, cameras and jewerly in their suitcase at the airports and checking them unlocked which is required. If they are stupid enough to not carry them on the plane in their carry-on bag they are asking to have them stolen!

I always carry anything of value with me and just pack clothes in my suitcase. I would rather have to replace some clothes then have to replace a $1500.00 computer!

Well it's a shame that there are people out there like that but there are. As the article stated - put valuables in a carryon which IMO is just good old fasion common sense.

The way the Wings are playing, they should rename the place the Jerry Lewis Arena.

If they lose, Dave Lewis is done, and hopefully they'll replace him with Barry Smith. A move they should have made two years ago. I hear that Don Cherry is about to get canned by Hockey Night in Canada. I'd take him in a heartbeat. He might accept the job this time, now that the hated Russian Five have all moved on.

i am no where near as worried about the scumbags taking something out of my baggs, as i am about some enterprising druggie putting something in for transport purposes.
a crook is a crook, and if they can take stuff out and keep it, they can put stuff in and send it.

tef - they tied it up now. Calgary is playing some good tough hockey - their series against Vancouver was great hockey to watch. Now all Toronto has to do is get by Philly - will be a good tough game tonight. I had tickets for both games this week but sold them on ebay for a nice profit to help pay for the next cruise.

If Cherry heads to Detroit I may be following. He is one only 2 or 3 people the CBC has that generated revenue so if they let him go it would be a huge mistake.

Thanks for the warning...I don't put anything of great value in my checked luggage. If I can't carry it on, it stays home!

Not to break anyone's bubble--but most suitcases have a universal key. My mom lent us her suitcase on wheels and the key to that fits my husband's suitcase which is 25 yrs old! Same brand--Samsonite (I think).
LOL.

I don't think your burst anyone's bubble. Am I the only one that puts my "own" lock on the luggage?

I am so naiive. I have never locked my luggage...never had any reason to because nothing has ever been stolen from it. Like a previuos poster said, my valuables are only packed in my carry on...not that I have anything 'really' valuable anyway.
I guess if some pervert wanted to steal my undies, he'd have a blast, but that's about it!
