Cokays Posted February 9, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 9, 2006 If our ship is scheduled back in at 8:00 am. What time should I schedule my flight out? We will be at the port of Tampa.

trish1c Posted February 10, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 10, 2006 Never schedule a flight before noon. Remember a good rule of thumb is domestic check in should be at least 1 1/2 - 2 hours before flight time. That's the time you have to consider when figuring out what time to be at the AP. Your ship may not dock on time. There may be immigration problems. There may be an accident on the road to the AP. Better safe than sorry. Why would you want to ruin your whole cruise wondering if you are going to miss your flight? I'd be too stressed. Enjoy!
Krazy Kruizers Posted February 10, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 10, 2006 We are in agreement here - book flights later than noon. We were late getting back into Tampa the only time we cruised from there. Got in about 9 - heavy freighter traffic that morning - smog from the fires in the distance - bad scene. Fortunately we never fly home on the same day that the ship docks so we didn't have any problems - but others did.
