manitoba girl Posted February 12, 2006 #26 Share Posted February 12, 2006 My Dh is 37 and I'm 41. but I have been on cruises with Carnival and Royal and even though Carnival suppose to be the Party ship we have sat with older folks and still had a good time. The cruise is what you make it, just be cause we are older then you doesn't mean we are any less fun then the next person..Bottom line.. you have to grow old but you don't have to grow up. mikefast Posted February 12, 2006 #27 Share Posted February 12, 2006 No wonder I felt old with all you kids on board. My wife is in her mid 60's and I am in my 70's. Even at that, there were older people than us on board ship. Not many, but some.
jd618 Posted February 12, 2006 #28 Share Posted February 12, 2006 DH and I are both 39. I agree that it depends on the time of year you cruise . . . and for how long. On the 3 cruises we took that were 10 days, we noticed an older crowd. I think the 7 day cruises attract a younger group and the one we took during spring break (on accident) was a LOT younger! We just love to cruise with other adults that love to cruise . . . age make no difference. Relax and you’ll have a fabulous time! Looking forward to our next cruises . . . Constellation Oct. ’06 – Western Caribbean Brilliance of the Seas April ’06 – Panama Canal Jewel of the Seas Oct. ’05 – Bermuda and Caribbean Dawn Princess March '05 - Western Caribbean Caribbean Princess '04 (C752 Cabin off back of ship) - Eastern Caribbean Island Princess '03 - Panama Canal Star Princess '03 - Mexican Riveria Grand Princess '02 - Western Caribbean Enchantment of the Seas '98 - Eastern Caribbean
sweetpea916 Posted February 12, 2006 #29 Share Posted February 12, 2006 DH and I are both 28. We were 26 on our last cruise and 25 on our first cruise. Never really cared how old/young our fellow passengers were, as it certainly didn't impact what we chose to do or how much fun we had. We've found that the activities and excursions are diverse enough for everyone to pick and chose what they want to do without feeling there's nothing for their tastes. IrishMist Posted February 12, 2006 #30 Share Posted February 12, 2006 My husband is 43 and I'll turn the big 50 on our next cruise in May. Yes, I'm a cradle robber. Fellow "cradle robber" here - I'm almost 54 (June) and my husband is 37! One of the great things about cruising is that there's something for everyone, no matter what your age. He loves to nap on the deck chairs.......I love the dance lessons on the pool deck.......we both love the shows, food, casino, and ports (just to name a few)! Inshape Posted February 12, 2006 #32 Share Posted February 12, 2006 Radiance line ships tend to have a bit older. Stick with VOyager class and there will be a fine mix of age groups. If you are already on Jewel you will find others your age...do not need a whole lot to make it fun! And we have been on CCL and found as many older people(i mean above 75 ) to be on that ship as was on Mariner. I think it depends on the time of year too. Just do not cruise a school vacation--then mostly families with kids. Enjoy..you will!
