stowaway2k Posted February 11, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2006 Hello, The Glasgow Transport Museum has an amazing collection of ship models, of ships built in Scotland on the Clyde River. The centerpiece of the collection is their display of the huge builders models for the three John Brown Cunard Queens built in Scotland. The models are of the ships as they were originally envisioned. Especially interesting is the QE2 model. Compare her then as she is now. Click on the link in my signature below, then "enter" into my webshots albums. The models are the first album. Enjoy! I sure enjoyed being there taking the photos! Tom Hi Tom, Don't make a special trip just to see the Clyde, as there is not much of interest to see. But, if you happen to find yourself in Glasgow, a journey out to where the John Brown yard was could be worth the time, for the sake of nostalgia. The museum is certainly worth a visit.
