Vidimom Posted May 1, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 1, 2004 I have cruised on both ships and quite frankly, they are built the same, but the Victory is by far prettier!! I love the Seas theme! We found the food was better on the Victory and the service was great on both! If you liked the Destiny, you will love the Victory. You will be familiar with the layout as they are the same, just decorated differently. Just go and have a great time!!!!!!!!! Sensation 9/98 10th anniv. lcpagejr Posted May 1, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 1, 2004 You'll love the Victory...We had cruised previously on 2 of her sister ships (Triumph and Destiny) and although we enjoyed those cruises too...We found the level of service and food superior to those ships on the Victory. sallyb Posted May 1, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted May 1, 2004 Hey thanks for the great responses! Now I'm really excited Do you think it's too soon to start packing? Vidimom Posted May 1, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 1, 2004 It might be a little early for packing, but you can go shopping!!!!!! Prom season is almost over and you can find some great deals on formal dresses afterwards! When summer comes to a close, you can get swimsuits on sale and shorts and shirts also. If you would like to see what the ship looks like, go to www.virtualtoursusa.com and click on gallery. When that comes up, click on cruiseships then the Victory. This will give you a 360 view of most areas. I found the Victory to be very elegant! The atrium is Emerald Green! Sensation 9/98 10th anniv. MrPete Posted May 1, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 1, 2004 IMHO... The Victory is NICER than the Destiny The Triumph is nicer than the Victory I found the Destiny very sterile in decor. Victory was too green and yellow. Triumph was aethetically appealing. All the ships are basically the same in layout, although the last two got the fixes over the Destiny. AND... this was all before I found the Spirit class ships, which beats them all. __ /7__/7__/7____ \:::::::::::::::::::/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Miracle 7/10/04 NY to Bahamas and Port Canaveral Disney Wonder 3/04/04 Pride 7/16/03 Bermuda Legend 10/17/02 CTN Disney Wonder 9/15/02 Destiny 4/29/01 Southern Caribbean Victory 9/00 Canadian Maritimes Triumph 9/99 Canadian Maritimes Jubilee 4/98 Trans Pacific/Hawaii Imagination 4/97 Western Caribbean Imagination 4/96 Western Caribbean Fascination 4/95 Southern Caribbean Ecstasy 4/18/93 Eastern Caribbean Fantasy 9/25/90 Bahamas Jubilee 5/13/90 Mexican Riviera NCL Seaward 1/15/89 Western Caribbean Jubilee 4/24/88 Eastern Caribbean HONEYMOON
chipperberg Posted May 1, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 1, 2004 I have sailed the Destiny, Triumph and Victory. I sailed the Victory twice. I just love her. I think no matter what ship you are on, with the right attitude, you will have a wonderful time. Enjoy The Victory is waiting for me.
sallyb Posted May 1, 2004 Author #8 Share Posted May 1, 2004 Vidimom, I went to virtualtours, the Victory wasn't in the list. That's OK, I looked at her on Carnival's site, but thanks anyway. I don't really need to shop for bathing suits, etc as we own a boat and just put her in the water today for the summer. I have many bathing suits, but already picked up a few new ones at the beginning of the season sale. I also try to get more at the end of the season. I will get out there and look at the dresses, though! Sally To travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive. Robert Louis Stevenson
sallyb Posted May 1, 2004 Author #9 Share Posted May 1, 2004 MrPeteLI, I chose the Victory for the itinerary. I know the Triumph has the same one, but didn't have the same date that I wanted to go. We have to fit the cruise in between other things. I will have to try a Spirit class ship, though. I've heard they are nice. Sally To travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive.
