trip insurance through Amawaterways

When I booked my Egypt cruise for Nov 2021, I also got AmaWaterways trip insurance.  I rarely get insurance through the tour company but for some reason, this time I did.  Due to Covid, I'm thinking about switching the cruise to Feb or March 2022.  My ta said that I will lose the Abu Simbal money and I would have to buy the trip insurance again.  Is this correct?
