Not sure about younger children on an Alaska cruise.  Alaska cruises tend to be very port intensive.  Therefore, if you really are not on the ship most of the time then the ship is more like a hotel for sleeping and eating and onboard activities are less important. I would go to Norway but the OP did not ask about that  itinerary 🤔
