Tulum Mayan Ruins

Has anyone ever used Island Marketing, Ltd for a private tour to the Mayan Ruins at Tulum. Will be there next Wed. and would like to use them. My wife is very nervous about this. thanks:confused:

We did the Tulum tour through the cruise line, and loved it. We decided to stick with the cruise line tour to ensure that the ship would not leave without us, in case we were late getting back.

I broke from the tour early to photograph the ruins and then go down to the beach and swim. It was magnificent!!!!!!!!

We did Tulum through the cruiseline as well. The guide on our bus was very good and gave us a wealth of information before we got to the ruins. He also gave us a guided tour at the ruins and some time on our own. It was a great day!

Haven't heard of the company, but Tulum is a nice place to see, particularly on a cruise because you really don't have time to go to the better ruins sites. Beautiful setting on a clifftop overlooking the Caribbean. Very nice. The ruins themselves take about an hour to see. Make sure to hire a guide if there isn't one included with your tour.

How is the ferry ride to the ruins? I get motion sickness very easy and will be on dramine but I don't want to get sick at all.

Can be somewhat rough and choppy - just depends on the water that day.

The waters in the channel going across are notoriously rough. I got very seasick on the way over. The ruins, however, were worth the trip.

 

Glad that I did it. Glad that I don't have to do it again.
