Temperature in Grand dining rooms?

Hello..I was wondering if anyone can tell me how the temperature is in the Grand dining rooms...last year we were on the HAL Zuiderdam and I had read on the HAL boards that the DR was cold most of the time and they were right..I ended up buying a fake pashima in the gift shop for ten bucks to wear with sleeveless dresses..I am bringing 2 sleeveless dress for formal nights and 1 casual night..just wondering if I should be better prepared this time...Thanks Marianne

Hi- I always found that I needed something light, like one of those pashimas.....that I also bought for the same reason!

My wife and find dining rooms and show lounges on most ships to be cooler than we like - so we plan accordingly.

 

My wife often wears a shawl type thing or sweater, and I pack one or two cardigan sweaters.

thanks everyone....I have my fake pashima out and ready to go.....do they sell them on the Grand too??? On the Zuiderdam they had them in every color in the rainbow and many inbetween!!

Yes you can buy them onboard for $10. Im very cold natured,and I dont know if it was where we were seated,but it seemed to be on the warm side when we first went in and then cooled down.(8:00 seating) I was only truly cold in the Vista. Dot

OK, I'm weird. I was warm everywhere...dining rooms, casino, shows. I am a Texas girl, though, and we love our A/C!

Im very cold natured,and I DONT go anywhere without some type of jacket/wrap.Id rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it! :)

I'm always warm, and my wife is always cold. Sound familiar anyone? Even I thought the dining rooms were chilly at times. Pack that Pashmina!

I'm always warm on ships too. We can never get the cabin cool enough. But, I think it's more hormonal than just being used to A/C in Florida.;)
