Viking Iceland Dining Reservations/Specialty

How are you managing dining reservation times along with shore excursion times as the excursions are being posted a little later than usual? Thank you.

I just made them when i wanted to dine.  If a shorex gets back too late, i will cancel and eat at the World Cafe.  DH cannot eat late so we snagged mostly early ones with latest at 7:15.

Just pick a time you want to eat and go with that. I only saw one excursion that returned later than 5 or 5:30 on our 7/3 cruise so you should be fine.

So this isn't your cruise and I have seen no info but if enough people are on the excursion from the ship dining times will be extended.  Example; Viking Homeland Berlin day.  We wanted to go to Chef's Table but were getting back late and were told to get back to the cabin and then come n down. 66% of Berlin excursion and dining  hours would be very flexible on our return around 8:30.

I looked at when we are supposed to leave port and arranged by that. Did the same for spa appointments.
