Acapulco Beach Break-Mayan Beach Resort?

I know this should be posted on the ports of call board, but this board always seems to have more answers. One of the excursions on the Spirit is the Acapulco Beach Break. Does anyone know if this is the one that takes you to the Mayan Beach Resort? Is it worth $59 pp? Or is there another hotel with a good beach better for the day on your own? Any thoughts, input or advice greatly appreciated!:)

Maybe it's the Mayan Palace rather than the Mayan Beach Resort? Sorry!:o

I'm not sure what the place was called and I went there last spring..We had a great time,lots of people selling their wares but the attendants do not allow them to get to close. You are in a roped off area that is kept seperate from the masses by the rope.The servers are always there.We got a parasail for 25.00 for DH from Edwardo( tattooed on his chest, he will be just off to the right of the roped of area when you are looking at the ocean) I went on his friends sea-doo for another 25.00 we had a great time, lots of tequilla great hospitality and very safe. they serve a small buffet towards the end of the excrusion. we had a ball.
