I was on Century 6/5 and was very hyped about using this pool, but when I went to look at it it was very small with all these stainless steel posts and things in it - looked more medicinal than relaxing. There were only 3 lounge chairs. It looked nothing like the pictures I had seen which I guess were all on M class ships. Anyway, cost was $20 per day or $60 for the week. I never used ut and only saw one or two people use it or the area (and I went up several times to look). No one from the spa asked if I would like to go in and look around, they just pretty much ignored me when they found out I wasn't booking an appt. Kind of a disappointment.

Well, it's a combination of salt and mineral water heated more than a hot tub with more powerful jets (or so I'm told). I have a knee replacement and a bad back and everyone told me it would be wonderful for those aches and pains.

On the larger ships I think it is pool size and is glassed in and is used as kind of an indoor pool but the Century one looked more like what was in the rehab when I was in the hospital.

I hope I'm not posting this twice, I tried before and got an error message, so I'm trying again. I loved the T Pool and it was well worth the $60 to me. I have lupus and have problems with my joints so getting in that pool in the afternoons was heaven. The jets are VERY strong. I would have to hold onto something if I was trying to stand when the jets are going full blast! The pool has a lounger made out of metal tubing on one end where you can lay back and let the water run over you. Water also cascades down out of a pipe to give you a kind of neck and shoulder massage. It was never very busy in there, which I liked. You can pay for just one day to see if you like it and they will put the money towards the full week cost if you decide you like it. It's cheaper to pay for the whole week instead of day to day.

Terri,

Horizon has that lounge arrangement in the hottub out by the pool. Did you find that the tpool faded your swimsuit as some have said? And was it a lot warmer than a regular hot tub?

Gail - I didn't have any problems with my bathing suit fading, but it's pretty light colored anyway. I thought the water in the T Pool was hotter than the hot tubs by the pool, but I only got in that one once. They were always packed!

Gail,

I used the pool twice and found it to be pretty nice. I didn't think the water was hot as a regular hot tub, but felt good. The area you could see from the window had the 3 lounges, but there was also another area on the other side that had 3 or 4 more. One time I went there were 2 other people and the other time there were 5, but it was not overcorowded.

The pipes in the "front end" were for you to lay on (it doesn't sound comfortable, but it was) and let the water flow over you. The current in the back side was much stronger with jets that really give you a workout. There are a lot of handles and places to hold on or you would definitely be pushed around.

I have some lower back discomfort and I really enjoyed the strong jets and the pipes that flowed downward with pretty good force. It really was like getting a massage.

While I liked it a lot, $20 a pop is a bit much. Even $60 for a week is high, but I've had weeks when it might have been worth it. If it's still $60 for two weeks, then it's a good deal.

I was in it twice and was wearing a pretty faded swimsuit because I had heard about the fading so I couldn't tell about any additional fading.

We had free use of the Tpool because we were in a suite, but only used it once. I have two knee replacements and a bad back and really didn't notice a difference. My sister (also two knee replacements) found the force of the jets was terrifying - she was worried about being shot across the pool when the jets started up. It's okay if you get free use of the pool, but I owuld never pay $20 for it.

It's free on the Millenium class ships. We used it practically everyday on the Constellation and loved it. Didn't really notice if it faded my bathing suit or not, but it's very relaxing. I don't think I'd pay to use it though.

I can vouch that the thelassotherapy pool and the adjoining hottubs on the M class ships will fade colors. I HAD a teal green swimming trunks that after 3 weeks were a VERY light green. Kind of like a pair of bluejeans that are stone washed.
