southfloridian Posted February 16, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2006 Spotty, I have an 8 yr old boy (very small and skinny, looks like he's 6) We did the cave tubing and zipline combo in belize. He loved it!! If you book through the ship the don't allow any one under 12 to do either one of the activities. I toured with Nacho and Cynthia. They have small tubes and they have small harnesses for children as well. Believe me, they will be safe. Aside from doing the combo with them, if there's time they'll take you to the butterfly farm that's in the same resort. They love children! Cynthia was really nice to my boy and made sure he was safe and was having fun. We had an unforgetable experience! the zipline was a blast and the operators are excellent. Here's a link to my review: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=289599 I'll be happy to answer any questions :) Here's the link to Nacho/ cynthias website : http://www.ncqadventuretours.com/
southfloridian Posted February 16, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2006 I forgot to say that I don't know what other ports of call you have in your itinerary, but Costa Maya and Cayman were good places for snorkeling. In Costa Maya you can do it right on the beach and in Cayman I . we did the snorkel/sting ray swim it was the best! Last year we snorkeled in Cozumel, it was excellent as well!
