laurspag Posted July 11, 2021 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2021 Hello, cruising friends! We are booked for a November cruise that goes to Cococay. I have wanted to get a cabana for ages as a special treat, and I was so disappointed to see the high cost for my cruise. I did find South Beach cabanas listed for a lower price, and while still expensive, I thought it might be a great surprise and gift for my husband, who goes above and beyond every day, and works so hard. Have any of you had these cabanas, or are they new? Any info you can provide will be greatly appreciated. For background, we like a relaxing, quiet area. We aren't using the waterpark, and we burn pretty easily. Just an FYI - I know there are lots of lounge chairs I can put in the shade, etc. I currently have a beach bed reserved and I'm seriously considering making a change. (I have had a beach bed before on Labadee)
Rare brillohead Posted July 23, 2021 #2 Share Posted July 23, 2021 Just a heads-up, currently South Beach is not open to cruisers -- it is designated for crew use only, as the crew is not allowed off the ship in other ports. That might change by the time of your sailing, but I just wanted to let you know it's a possibility.
