HomeschoolMom Posted February 15, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2006 My DH and I sailed Princess last year. We want to do Carnival with the kids now. Do we count as past passengers since it is technically the same company or not? TIA!
Wennfred Posted February 15, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2006 No, each has their own past guess system
brickiemom Posted February 15, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 15, 2006 :) Dear Bethany, I'm not 100% on this however I believe you are considered a past guest. I thought I read this in carnivals little magazine called Currents. Call them and you will find out. Good luck.

D4 Posted February 15, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 15, 2006 All the lines owned within Carnival have acknowledge each other's past guests for booking a cruise. The number of times you've cruised on each line is kept separate. Here's information: http://vip.worldsleadingcruiselines.com/vip/
cheshyrkat Posted February 16, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 16, 2006 You can get the past guest rates because you have sailed with Princess (or if you had sailed with any of the other Carnival brands). You just don't get any of the other (few) past guest perks. Sometimes you can find a good deal with the past guest rates. Good luck!
NRWO Posted February 16, 2006 #7 Share Posted February 16, 2006 As a past guest of Princess you can indeed recieve past guest discounts on carnival on select sailings. You simply need to provide proof of your cruise with Princess. Same goes for all Lines owned by Carnival Inc. (Costa, Seabourne, HAL, Windstar, etc.)
Rare silentbob007 Posted February 16, 2006 #8 Share Posted February 16, 2006 Past passengers only get better rates on select cruises and itineraries throughout the year ... so never when I want to go. ;)
cruisenk Posted February 16, 2006 #9 Share Posted February 16, 2006 I believe that it depends on the particular sailing. We qualified for our upcoming cruise as past guests because we previously sailed on HAL. Even though we had our Mariner ID number, we still had to send additional documentation to Carnival.
