BoatsThatFloat1 Posted July 18, 2021 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2021 Hello! Last year I took advantage of a Carnival promotion and bought CruiseCash for our November 2020 cruise. We are now scheduled for November 2021 with the same itinerary and confirmation number. I called Carnival to confirm that the CruiseCash was there, and the customer service person was not able to see my balance, telling me I should just wait until I get to the ship to check. I would prefer to take care of this before boarding, so I don't have to do this while I am on vacation. Does anyone have any tips on how / where to look to confirm that my CruiseCash is still on my reservation ahead of my trip? I called into the 800-764-7419 number -- is there a better number or specific department I should ask to speak with? Thanks!
Bostwick girl Posted July 18, 2021 #2 Share Posted July 18, 2021 Seems like I had some cruise cash on one of my cancelled/rebooked cruises last year. I believe my cruise cash was refunded to original payment when the cruise was cancelled, it didn’t carry over.
Sailin_Pirate Posted July 18, 2021 #3 Share Posted July 18, 2021 (edited) As stated above it should have been refunded to the original form of payment. Just like other shop items paid for cheers/water etc. Edited July 18, 2021 by Sailin_Pirate
wemjam Posted July 18, 2021 #4 Share Posted July 18, 2021 If you cruise was cancelled by them or by you, the cruise cash would have be refunded to the original form of payment. IF you "rolled over" and rebooked your cruise (in which case you likely would have the same original confirmation number for your cruise), your cruise cash would have rolled over with it. In this case it would show on line in your cruise manager. We have been in both these situations in the last year and a half, so this is 1st hand

kdr69 Posted July 18, 2021 #8 Share Posted July 18, 2021 oh yes @WhaleTailFlCruiseris right they would have refunded any funshop purchases to your original form of payment and you would have had to re purchase them for the new cruise.

This is not always the case, we have found it does first hand. We have had to change our cruises a few times now, and if we rolled the itinerary over to a new ship and they kept the booking # the same and just made the switch, we have had our cruise cash roll over with it. It showed up on the new sailing with the same booking number. When we cancelled a cruise and rebooked it did not, we got a refund. We have found certain things roll over, others do not. Excursions did not Internet did not Cruise Cash Did Water we ordered to be delivered to the room Did
