harmon25 Posted February 16, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2006 If you could go back and know what you know now, what is one thing you wish you knew before going on Carnival? Feel free to list more than one. Also, what's one more thing you wish you had packed/brought on the cruise with you?
crisp1 Posted February 16, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2006 I would have booked earlier and got a stern balcony cabin
cheshyrkat Posted February 16, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2006 I wish I had known better than to pack twice as much stuff as I'd actually be needing...
redsoxgrlt Posted February 16, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 16, 2006 I wish I would've known to book a 10 day cruise instead of a 7 day!!:D
Caribbean Dad1 Posted February 16, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 16, 2006 Wish I would have known that shins require sun block when subjected to the Caribbean sun. (**ouch** still hurts just thinking about it)
dying2cruise Posted February 16, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 16, 2006 I would have packed way less, and gotten the later seating for dinner since I always wanted a nap before dinner.

luvgreys Posted February 16, 2006 #8 Share Posted February 16, 2006 Wish I would have known that shins require sun block when subjected to the Caribbean sun. (**ouch** still hurts just thinking about it) I agree, also I learned that the bottom of my feet burned as well!! OOOOUUUCCCHHH! Walking was painful for a few days! It felt good to get in the Cozumel water!
moonvine Posted February 16, 2006 #9 Share Posted February 16, 2006 I would have brought a Tide Stain Stick and a small bottle of Woolite for washing stuff out in the cabin. I'm still trying to get that mustard stain off my white shirt.:(
LizaMM Posted February 17, 2006 #10 Share Posted February 17, 2006 #1 I wish I would have known that I would be addicted!! I could have started saving my change a lot sooner and been cruising more if I knew this before my first cruise!! #2 Somehow I also thought before my first cruise that I would get a lot of sleep and yet I have learned from all my cruises that I wind up staying up until the wee hours. #3 I wish I had known about "sea legs" lasting for a while for some people. After my first cruise I thought something was wrong with me when the room still swayed around me after a few days!!! I am an avid boater and spend a lot of time on the water and boats in the summer months and I never get seasick or anything but after a cruise it takes me about a week to loose those sea legs!! On the packing note: On my last cruise I forgot to pack the CD player and I did miss listening to music as I prepared for dinner. cruznon Posted February 17, 2006 #11 Share Posted February 17, 2006 I wish I known how great steamers were several cruises ago..... I wish we had booked this next cruise earlier....I really wanted an aft suite with a wrap around balcony... on some past cruises, I wish I had asked for more pillows than were on the bed, rather than just wishing I had an extra couple of pillows... I wish I'd taken more photos of the ship interiors on each cruise in the past...
PaulMedik Posted February 17, 2006 #12 Share Posted February 17, 2006 I wish I'd have played the lottery, chose the correct numbers, and found out I won while on board; I'd still be there! :D
msolberg Posted February 17, 2006 #13 Share Posted February 17, 2006 I wish I would have started collecting the gold ship Christmas ornamanents they sell in the gift shop on my first cruise. I wish I knew better then posting to stupid "can I wear jeans in the dining room threads."
bulldogmom Posted February 17, 2006 #14 Share Posted February 17, 2006 I wish I had known: about these boards before I went on my first cruise that Carnival gift certificates are great to get for Christmas and birthdays (it is nice to have something to say when someone asks you "what do you want for....(fill in the blank)?) that cruising is by far the #1 way to travel
Mysticks1 Posted February 17, 2006 #15 Share Posted February 17, 2006 I wish that I had taken more photos of the ship and that I had gone to the Welcome Aboard show.
luvgreys Posted February 17, 2006 #16 Share Posted February 17, 2006 I wished I would have brought a bottle of Champangne to have as we sailed away! When we sail in May, I will bring a bottle on board!:)
