singitalto Posted February 17, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2006 I noticed the Spirit's Tempanyaki area is not that big. Does anyone know how many the area seats? We are a party of 16- will we all fit?

Possibly, they can make room for more, but I CANNOT imagine more than 12 people. I ate there, and there was 6 of us and 4 open seats... perhaps you can talk to the concierge, but I dont think even he/she can expand the space. ~Intrepid
johnql Posted February 17, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 17, 2006 Sailing on the Spirit right now - dined in Teppanyaki on Saturday night. I can confirm that it normally only accommodates 10 people. Not sure whether special requests can be handled.
AndrewM Posted February 17, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 17, 2006 Do you get a menu for Teppanyaki or do they just make you a custom dish? What is the fee/person? andrew, 15 days to go
intrepid_guy Posted February 17, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 17, 2006 You choose meals from a menu, and they are priced individually from 12.50 to 20.00 (I think, maybe only 15.00) ~Intrepid
singitalto Posted February 17, 2006 Author #7 Share Posted February 17, 2006 Thanks for the info. I had anticipated that it would not hold all of us. We'll do it on a night that not all of the group want to dine there!

I think it was you who also showed me how to avoid getting premium vodka when I didn't ask for it. Does the Teppanyaki menu include the regular starter and dessert options? My children want to try it out so I assume they wouldn't have half sized portions at half the cost would they? andrew, 15 days to go
singitalto Posted February 17, 2006 Author #9 Share Posted February 17, 2006 We have been to the Teppanyaki Rest. on the Dawn 4x with my children. They get charged the regular fare and get an adult portion. Enjoy your cruise!!

They all came with a soup and salad and a choice of ice creams for dessert (green tea and coconut on our cruise - I had half and half) Some menus (like the one I got - Imperial Feast) also included sushi. ~Intrepid
AndrewM Posted February 19, 2006 #11 Share Posted February 19, 2006 Thanks both of you for your information! I know the first thing I'll do when I get on the ship is see if I can book Teppanyaki that night...sounds like the Imperial Feast for me..
szdiver Posted February 20, 2006 #12 Share Posted February 20, 2006 We booked the grill area for 12 of us on the Sun and it was a very comfortable fit - not crowded at all.....just to watch the chefs was very exciting and enjoyable. It is not to be missed. Everyone ordered different items and they were accomodated efficiently and quickly.
