St. Maarten Amphibious Duck Tour CANCELLED

We are cruising on Golden Princess in March and were interested in the St. Maarten Duck Tour. We just noticed on Princess' website that this tour is now cancelled. Does anybody know why and if it can be booked at the dock???

Ah yes, all the ambiance of a monster amphibious truck full of American tourists, driving down narrow, tight roadways full of compact cars on a foreign island. Wouldn't it be sad if it NEVER RUNS AGAIN !! ;)

KAL...know we havent always seen eye to eye - (previous post about being a tourist in a rental car !!) but I do agree with this one.....

 

Why would anyone travel all that way to a beautiful island and then want to take a ride on a huge truck spewing diesel fumes on land and then head into the water on it ???? to see what ?

 

I too could see these excursion going the way of the dinosaur - in favor of a more eco-friendly mode of transportation.

But don't forget the plastic duck calls they hand out to all the passengers. Yes, the serenity of American tourists bringing home with them to St. Maarten.
