Orlando to Port Canaveral

If you are leaving on a cruise out of Port Canaveral, and you do your own air into Orlando, what is the best way to get to port? There may be 4 to 6 of us.

You can rent a vehicle. We've rented from both Avis and Budget and had a good experience. They have a shuttle that will take you to the ship once you drop the vehicle off in Port Canaveral. Or you could take a Carnival transfer bus if you don't want to drive yourself.

I've done it two ways before. 1st is to pay the $25 and use the Carnival transport to the port. Or there is Arts Shuttle that can take you there.

 

I have also heard many people use Happy Limo service to get there.

 

If you are arriving a day earlier you can also take the option of a car rental that you can drop off at Port Canaveral.

What is the cheapest way to get from Orlando to Port Canaveral? There are only 2 of us, so renting a car seems to be about the same cost as the $25 per person each way shuttle, and a bit of a pain.

 

Do any of the hotels have shuttles, and if so, are they about the same cost?
