Moorea Ferry Transportation

Is it possible to take Le Truck (with luggage) to the hotels on Moorea, if not is there other transportation available besides a taxi?

Yes you can take Le Truck with your luggage but if you have large suitcases, it would be easier and faster to have your own transportation. Most hotels will make arragements for you to be picked up at the ferry dock. The usual fee is about $5 per person. You can contact the hotel or you can make your own arragements. When we docked in Moorea, the day before the end of the cruise, we rented a car through Avis at the pier. We each took 1 big bag and our first stop was the hotel we had booked for the following night.

 

Not only did the hotel allow us to leave our bags with the bellman in a locked area, but they even showed us some of the over the water bungalows, let us walk around the property and choose the bungalow we wanted for the following day.

 

We did not put our remaining luggage outside of our cabin the night before as we just had a small roller bag each. In the morning, we walked off with our bags, walked over to the ferry, and took Le Truck to the hotel.

 

We did take Alberts from the hotel to the ferry on the day we returned home, for convenience. The concierge arranged it for us.
