Momma Mojito Posted September 30, 2021 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2021 After reading today that Carnival made an agreement with Quest Diagnostics we decided to make an appointment to have our Covid test done there. We filled out all of our info online, made the appointment for the end of Oct,. We got our confirmation number, then we read that we need a script to have the test performed. My question is : Have any of you needed a script to take the test?

rlindholm Posted September 30, 2021 #3 Share Posted September 30, 2021 I think that the pharmacy generates its own script. I scheduled us for walgreens tests as backup to our home tests. When I completed it said something about "script requested" and said that until I got the confirmation email the appointment wasn't actually scheduled. So I think that these testing sites have a contracted MD that "signs" the scripts for these tests. I don't think you actually have to go to a doctor to get the prescription. Its like standing orders. As long as people meet the criteria in the questionnaire, the contracted MD is automatically used to generate the prescription.
