Carnival and Quest?

This is the info that I found yesterday, but as of today I cannot get through to Quest.  We did make an App on the Quest website for two days before our Oct 30 sailing on the Horizon, but when we were finished, the info said we needed a script to have the test done. Plus it gave no info on the cost of the test.  Has anyone else tested or tried to test with Quest?

Carnival Corp. Partners with Quest for Easy-Access Pre-Cruise COVID-19 Tests

by Dori Saltzman / September 16, 2021

Carnival Corporation & plc has partnered with Quest Diagnostics to provide easy-access pre-cruise COVID-19 testing appointments to cruisers booked on any Carnival brand. The partnership comes just as Carnival Corp. institutes the CDC’s new two-day pre-cruise testing directive (replacing the previous 72-hour requirement).

“Access to testing continues to play an important role in the restart of our guest operations, and working with Quest simplifies the process for our guests by making it easier to access convenient testing options from a trusted national laboratory provider,” said Roger Frizzell, chief communications officer for Carnival Corp. “These testing protocols are part of our layered approach to safeguarding the health and safety of our guests, crew, and the communities we visit.”

The program streamlines pre-cruise preparation for cruisers by giving them convenient access to more than 1,500 Quest Diagnostics patient service centers and retail pharmacy testing locations throughout the U.S.

All tests must be taken no more than two days before embarkation. For example, if a cruise leaves on a Saturday, cruisers should schedule their tests for the Thursday before embarking.

Cruisers booked on any of the Carnival Corp. brands (Carnival, Princess, Holland America, and Seabourn) will receive an email with a secure link to book an appointment. PCR test results are typically delivered in one to two days.

We have Quest appointments confirmed and nothing on our confirmation says prescription required.  I would call directly to the lab where you are scheduled, advise them this test is for travel purposes, and ask them about script.  Cost of test will depend on your insurance.  Most medical insurers are covering the cost of all Covid testing.  Hope this helps.
