Port Side or Starboard Side?

When we were on the Navigator last July, our daughters were on the Port side and hubby and I were on the Starboard. Most ports were on the Port side. It was fun to sit on our daughters balconies and watch all the people running to the ship late! But then of course our views of the endless blue waters wasn't too shabby either!! Either side is definetly better then anything on land!!

Generally speaking both sides are fine as you are facing one side on the way down and the other side on the way back. When we did the Eastern Caribbean on the Mariner we faced a couple of ports and faced away from another port when we docked. We found that our view while we were in port didn't matter since we spent so little time in our cabin while we were docked.
