Iona Questions

We are on the 30th October sailing on Iona sailing to Portugal and Spain.
I have a few questions regarding this cruise:

1. Are the launderettes currently open.

2. How long from dockside Covid test to getting on board.

3. Cost of using the sanctuary for a day.

4. Is it easy to book evening shows or if late booking you miss the show.

5. If presently onboard getting off in Portugal and Spain what protocols were in place ie do you need to be tested, passport etc.

6. Anyone else waiting for the latest government announcement before booking Covid 2 day test or have you already booked them? ready for your PLF.

Many thanks

I can definitely answer 3 of your questions

We were on board in less than 1 hour from taking the drive through test

The launderettes were definitely open ( I had to iron a couple of shirts )

very easy to book shows on the app but do it sooner rather than later

yes we are waiting for the government to announce a lft test would be acceptable for day 2 return

before we do anything regarding our Ventura Christmas cruise.

1. 2 hours from starting to queue to getting negative result. Probably another 15 minutes before getting aboard

2. Yes - the 1 on Deck 9 was definitely open - much bigger than other P&O launderettes with more machines

3. £40 I think (presume you mean The Retreat?)

4. Never had any problems booking them using the 'My Holiday' app.

5. No extra testing needing for Spanish ports & passports only required for Barcelona - though nobody asked to see them. Needed a negative lateral flow test 2 days before Lisbon - cost £18 and you could only go ashore on an organised tour. I believe that may have changed now.

6. We had to book our 2 day tests before leaving the UK & the reference number had to be put on the PLF. Did the test yesterday and should get the result within 48 hours.

Hope this helps.
